Manchester City Council intends to commission a community-based early intervention and support service for women experiencing homelessness. The service will support women facing significant barriers to accessing housing, health, and support services, many of whom have experienced multiple disadvantages such as domestic abuse, trauma, poor mental health, substance misuse, neurodivergence, and other complex needs. The service will deliver gender-informed, trauma-responsive support within a safe and psychologically informed environment, helping women address homelessness, improve wellbeing, increase independence, and sustain accommodation.
