The London Borough of Lewisham (LBL) is reviewing options for the future procurement of Extra Care Housing services for Lewisham residents. Lewisham defines Extra Care Housing as self-contained accommodation for adults with eligible care and support needs under the Care Act 2014. It enables residents to live independently in their own flat, with access to planned care and support, responsive on-site assistance, and overnight support where required. This model can provide an alternative to more restrictive residential or nursing care settings.
