News Publishing Principles and Production Method

TenderZoom prepares tender news from publicly available tender notices. This page explains how the stories are produced, where AI is used, and what is and is not checked.

Publisher

Stories are published by TenderZoom (tenderzoom.com). “TenderZoom Newsroom”, shown on story pages, is the corporate publishing name TenderZoom uses for its tender news. It is not the name of a journalist or editor and does not mean that a human editor wrote or approved every story. TenderZoom is responsible as the publisher.

Where stories come from

Automated story production draws on these official notice sources: EKAP (Turkish Public Procurement Authority), EBRD, TED (EU Publications Office) and the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB). From sources other than EKAP, stories are produced only for work to be carried out in Türkiye. Each story names its source. A story does not replace the official notice; the notice prevails.

Which notices become stories

Not every notice becomes a story. A fixed, rule-based newsworthiness filter runs before any AI is used. The notice must be in a priority sector (shown by more than one independent signal), show a verified large monetary scale or a concrete, measurable physical scope in the source, and be a newsworthy event type. No AI call is made for a notice that fails the filter.

Where AI is used

The story text (headline, summary and body), translation of the source text into Turkish where needed, and search-engine metadata are prepared with generative AI models. The story’s cover image is also AI-generated. The “Tender Information” table is not written by AI; it is built directly from fields in the source notice.

Verification: automated and rule-based

Before publication every story passes these automated checks:

  • Every number and date in the story must appear in the source notice; otherwise the story is not published.
  • The institution, notice number, country, date, amount and event type must be consistent with the source record.
  • An amount not disclosed in the source is not written; project financing is not presented as a tender value.
  • The text must be in Turkish and must not contain links or technical terms absent from the source.
  • A story that fails the checks is not published.

Limits of human review

These checks are automated and are not a substitute for review by a human editor. A human editor does not read and approve each published story individually before publication. Human work goes into choosing the sources, the filter rules and the verification thresholds, and into running the system.

Source data and TenderZoom’s summary

Fields in the “Tender Information” table come from the source notice. The narrative text is TenderZoom’s summary compiled from that data and is not meant to contain commentary or forecasts. If there is a conflict, the official notice prevails.

AI-generated images

Story cover images are AI-generated and representative only. They are not real photographs of the tender, the project or the site.

General procurement notices

The news section also carries short, fact-based summaries of general procurement notices from source platforms. These are not products of the story production pipeline described on this page and are shown as “notices”.

Reporting errors and corrections

If you see an error in a story, write to the email address below. If a story is found to conflict with its source notice, it may be corrected or unpublished. No response or correction time is promised.
